Young Achievers' recent results include a 1–1 draw against Mito Stars, a 1–0 win over North West University Vaal, followed by defeats to Mamelodi 11 Stars and Kaizer Chiefs Ladies. They lost 2–0 to Chiefs in their most recent recorded fixture.

UJ, meanwhile, have shown they can produce goals. Before their 3–0 victory, they recorded wins over North West University Vaal and Future Stars, as well as a 1–1 draw with Emmarentia Pirates.

The home side will want to turn their recent performances into points. After losses against Mamelodi 11 Stars and Kaizer Chiefs Ladies, this fixture provides an opportunity to regain momentum.

UJ's 3–0 win over Mamelodi 11 Stars will give them confidence heading into the fixture. Their earlier 5–0 victory over North West University Vaal also demonstrates their ability to score multiple goals.

The match comes during an important stage of the Gauteng campaign. Young Achievers have been positioned in the lower part of the standings, while UJ have been competing higher up the table.

A major question will be whether the hosts can limit UJ's attacking threat while creating enough chances of their own.
