JVW FC’s influence in midfield was rewarded as Jessica Wade claimed the Midfielder of the Season accolade after a series of commanding performances. Wade, who is twenty-two years old was absent from the awards ceremony as she has joined Åland United in Finland on a two-year contract.

TS Galaxy Queens’ Dineo Magagula was recognised as Goalkeeper of the Season. In her acceptance speech, she thanked her teammates and technical staff, adding: “This year let’s make it big, let’s get more individual awards at the end of the season. I believe in you all as much as I believe in myself.”

While the awards celebrated excellence from the past campaign, the Hollywoodbets Super League remains on a break and is yet to officially open for the new season. Dates for the league’s return are still awaited, especially with the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations scheduled to take place from 17 March to 3 April, which is expected to influence the domestic calendar.
