The Basadi in Action Mentorship Program is set to run from May 2026 to August 2026, offering a unique opportunity for aspiring creatives to break into the sports media industry. Known for its growing presence in women’s sports storytelling, Basadi in Action continues to create pathways for young talent to gain real-world experience 

The programme focuses on key media disciplines including social media management, photography, videography, and content writing/journalism. Open to all genders, the initiative requires no prior experience, making it accessible to anyone passionate about sports and storytelling.

Hands-on industry experience in sports media
Access to experienced mentors who provide guidance and knowledge transfer
Portfolio development through real assignments
Networking opportunities that can lead to jobs or internships

What to Expect as a Participant

If selected, mentees can expect a practical, fast-paced learning environment. Weekly tasks such as match reports, feature writing, photography, and video content will help build real-world skills. 

Mentors will guide, review work, and support development, ensuring each mentee grows both technically and professionally. Participants will also attend live sports events, gaining valuable exposure.
